Features:
1. New Apache Drill profile in Query Chain’s Metadata.
- A new profile 'Apache Drill' is added in the Query Chain within 2021.09 build. Users can now use this profile and perform required executions.
2. 'REST API' as a profile in the Query Builder.
- A new profile 'REST API' is added in the Query builder within 2021.09 build. Users can now request and extract the data using a REST API through GET method.
3. 'SOAP API' as a Data Source in Query Chain.
- A new data source 'SOAP API' is added in the Query Chain within the 2021.09 build. A user can now request and extract the data using SOAP API through POST method in the following ways such as SOAP API without Transformations, SOAP API using Transformations, and SOAP API using variables.
4. 'SOAP API' as a Data source in FDR and Validation.
- 'SOAP API' is introduced as a data source in both FDR and validation scenarios within 2021.09 build.
Enhancements:
1. Infer Metadata and Input Metadata in custom SQL data source widget.
An enhancement is added in the custom SQL data source widget of all Query chains, FDRs, and Scenario validations. Two new buttons were added namely infer metadata and input metadata.
- Infer Metadata: An Infer Metadata executes an SQL Query extracting the Metadata and data associated with the Metadata.
- Input Metadata: An Input Metadata is useful to save an SQL Query without performing the execution. Input Metadata is useful if users have an SQL Query that takes a long time to perform the execution.
2. Data Quality Dimensions Enhancement.
- An enhancement is added in the Data Quality Dimensions view. Accuracy, conformity, consistency, completeness, integrity, timeliness, uniqueness, and validity are the metrics to measure the data quality of different scenarios and validations. In the previous build, we have passed (passed scenarios) and total checks (total scenarios) which were distributed over different Quality Dimension metrics but in the new build we have only the total checks (total scenarios) and are segregated individually based on the count, record count, total execution time, Average execution time and average percentage exceptions. Each above individual scenario metric is distributed over different types of status, quality dimensions, risk categories, data domains, scenario name, executed by, executed on, scenario type, profile name, job name, and folder id.
3. Generate PDF File and include an attachment in Scenario and Job Explorer.
- A new Enhancement is added that includes a PDF attachment that can be forwarded to a specified email, which contains the exception results of different FDR, TDR, Validation scenarios, and Jobs. In order to use this feature, users must check the box that contains 'Generate PDF File and Include Attachment' in the 'Email Settings' widget under the “Additional options” tab.
4. Metadata download and rows selection in RDBMS Table Data source Widget.
- An enhancement is added in the RDBMS table Data source widget by which users can now download the metadata in a CSV format and also can select the specified rows within the selected table. Users can view this enhancement in all Query chains, FDRs, and Scenario validations.
5. Tableau Visualization and filters.
- A new profile 'Tableau' is added in the Query builder. Users can use this profile for visualization and apply filters accordingly for each selected sheet. Users can later save this Query and utilize it in any existing query chains, FDRs, or validations.
6. QC HP ALM Multiple instances from system preferences.
- QC HP ALM is a third-party defect-rising tool that was introduced as a part of 2021.09 build.
7. Scenario Exception Pages for Non-RD Users.
- From 2021.09 build, users can receive external FDR scenario exceptions result link to a specified email address to view it outside the console. However, users must ensure that no modifications can be made through the link that navigates outside the console and is strictly used for viewing exceptions results only. If users wish to make any modifications, then they must login to the console.
8. Adding profile User name and password at the time of execution with run-time parameters.
- Users can now add a profile’s username and password outside the console and execute with runtime parameters using an ARC (Advanced Rest Client) or any 3rd party postman services. For this purpose, users need to have the specified Query chain or scenario URL and its respective JSON parameters.
9. Add Packetization for Database Management Screen.
- A ‘Load More button’ is added in the ‘Data Management’ session within Admin console under Security option. With this enhancement, users can now load the page and find the desired data execution results accordingly.
10. Save Query without Executing Query create/edit.
- Users can save a Query prior to execution. Sometimes, users wish to avoid a few Query executions that might consume a lot of time to perform the execution. In this condition, users can just save the Query without executing but ensure to input an already known metadata in order to save this query.
- Users can modify an already existing default RightData template and replace it with their own header and body content/layout. Simultaneously, users can also create sample email templates from the 'custom email template' option located in the system preferences. The email templates are classified into three categories namely Default template, custom template with default layout, and custom template with custom layout.
12. Offline enterprise server license activation.
- Users can also activate the enterprise server license through an off-line mode using an Activation File sent by the RightData support team on request.
13. Soft and permanent user delete option.
- An admin pro-user can partially or permanently delete a user. In the previous build, admin only has an option to partially delete the user leaving behind his/her execution and content session history but now an admin can permanently delete a user assigning his/her execution/content session history to any other user through a dropdown list selection.
