Scenario Explorer is a part of the SCENARIO STUDIO module. This session gives the details of different Scenarios created by users such as FDRs (Functional Data Reconciliation), Validations, TDRs (Technical Data Reconciliation), BDVs (Bulk Data Validation), Auto Generate FDR Scenarios, and QPTs (Query Performance Testing). It has a tabular grid with details such as Name, Path, Created By, Created On, Modified By, and Last-Modified.
- Name-User/Users created folder and file names (basic scenarios) are displayed here.
- Path-The created folders/files name storage path is displayed.
- Created By-The details of the user who created the files/folders are displayed.
- Created On-User created date and time is displayed.
- Modified By-Name of the User (User ID) who modified the folder/file is displayed.
- Last Modified- The last modified folder/file date and time is shown.
To learn about Scenario Explorer, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘SCENARIO STUDIO’ module.
- Hover on the ‘Scenario Explorer’ snippet from the left pane options.
- Click the ‘Scenario Explorer’ option.
Note: Clicking the ‘SCENARIO STUDIO’ module also navigates to the ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page.
Path: SCENARIO STUDIO > Scenario Explorer
- A ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page is displayed.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for any scenario from the tabular grid.
- By default, ‘List View’ and ‘Show All’ tabular grid pattern is selected.
- Clicking the ‘Tiles View’ button displays the tiles view pattern of files/folders.
- Clicking the ‘Folders Only’ button displays only folders.
- Clicking the ‘Content Only’ button displays only the files.
- Clicking the History button displays the ‘My Activity History’ pop-up slide screen that shows the recent user’s activity.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for any specific user activity.
- Clicking the ‘Bookmarks’ button displays the ‘My Favorites’ pop-up slide screen.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for any bookmarked folder/file.
- Clicking the ‘Choose Tables Field’ button displays a pop-up slide screen showing all the tabular grid column names.
Note: By default, the ‘Name’ column is disabled and other columns are in the selected mode.
- Let’s suppose, uncheck the ‘Path’ column name.
Note: Unchecking any column name/names has an immediate effect that removes the selected columns from the tabular grid.
- The ‘Path’ column is removed from the tabular grid.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A message ‘Columns Saved Successfully’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- The ‘Showing 100/1237’ indicates the loaded contents count by the total count display.
- Clicking the ‘Load More’ button appends more content into the tabular grid.
- The previously shown ‘Showing 100/1237’ is changed to ‘Showing 316/1237’.
- Click the ‘Create FDR Scenario’ button.
- A new FDR Scenario session page is displayed.

- Click the ‘Create Validation Scenario’ button.
- A new Validation Scenario session page is displayed.

- Click the ‘Create TDR Scenario’ button.
- A new TDR Scenario session page is displayed.

- Click the ‘Bulk Data Validation button.
- A new Bulk Data Validation session page is displayed.
Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page.
- Click the ‘Auto Generate FDR Scenarios’ button.
- A new Auto Generate FDR scenario Session page is displayed.

- Click the ‘Query Performance Testing’ button.
- A new Query Performance Testing session page is displayed.
Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page.
- Clicking the ‘Filter’ button displays a pop-up window with different text field options such as Created On, Created By, Profile, and Type.
- Let’s suppose fill in the required text fields and click the ‘Filter’ button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
- A ‘Filtered Results 17’ session page is displayed.
- Click the plus ‘(+) New Folder button.
- A ‘New Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
Note: By default, all the modules (Scenario Explorer, Query Explorer, and Job Explorer) are selected.
- Let’s suppose add ‘FDR Scenarios’ under the Name text field.
- Click the ‘Create’ button.
- A message ‘FDR Scenarios is created’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
