The Job Explorer is a part of the ‘BATCH CONSOLE’ module. This session has the details of all the Running, Scheduled, Stopped, and Completed Jobs. It has a tabular grid showing different columns namely Name (Name of the Jobs), Path (Path of the saved Job), Last Run Time (Job’s last run time), Next Run Time (Job’s next run time), Status (status of the Job), Duration (Job execution duration), Created By (Job created user details), Modified By (Job modified user details), and Last Modified (Job last modified date and time details).
To learn about Job Explorer, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘BATCH CONSOLE’ module.
- Hover on the left pane options to view the ‘Job Explorer’ snippet.
- Click the ‘Job Explorer’ option.
Path: BATCH CONSOLE > Job Explorer
Note: Clicking the ‘BATCH CONSOLE’ modules also displays the ‘Job Explorer’ session page.
- A ‘Job Explorer’ session page is displayed.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Job Explorer’ session page.
- A ‘Search’ box field is used to search for any particular Job.
- By default, ‘List View’ and ‘Show All’ options are selected.
- Clicking the ‘Tiles View’ button displays the tile’s view pattern.
- Clicking the ‘Folders Only’ button displays only the folders.
- Clicking the ‘Content Only’ button displays only the file contents.
- Clicking the ‘History’ button displays the ‘My Activity History’ slide pop-up screen which shows the recent users’ activity.
- A ‘search’ box is used to search for any particular user history.
- Clicking the ‘Bookmarks’ button displays the ‘My Favorites’ pop-up slide screen that shows the bookmarked contents.
- A ‘search’ box is used to search for any particular bookmarked content either folders or files.
- Clicking the ‘Choose Tables Field’ button displays a pop-up slide screen showing all the tabular grid column names.
Note: By default, the ‘Name’ column is disabled and the rest are in the selected mode.
- Let’s suppose, uncheck the ‘Path’ column name.
Note: Unchecking any column name/names has an immediate effect that removes the selected columns from the tabular grid.
- The ‘Path’ column is removed from the tabular grid.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A message ‘Columns Saved Successfully!’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- The ‘Showing 127/131’ indicates the loaded contents count by the total count display.
- Clicking the ‘Load More’ button appends more content into the tabular grid.
- Clicking the ‘All Jobs’ option displays all types of Jobs namely Running, Scheduled, Completed, and Stopped.
- Let’s suppose click the Job ‘Divya 2/1/2022 9:27:49 AM.’
- The user is navigated to that particular Job (Divya 2/1/2022 9:27:49 AM) in create and edit mode.
- Close this window and navigate back to the 'Job Explorer' session page.
- The icon in the ‘Status’ column of the first Job (Divya 2/1/2022 9:27:49 AM) indicates the Job is running.
- Clicking the ‘Scheduled’ option displays the scheduled jobs.
- Clicking the ‘Running’ option displays the running jobs.
- Let’s suppose enable the checkbox with a Job name (Job on Regression FDR’S and Validation’s)
- The buttons such as Stop Job, Execute Now, Monitor, Rename, Edit, Delete, Move, Copy, and Generate RD Service are enabled.
- Clicking the ‘Filter’ button displays the‘ Filters’ pop-up slide screen with text fields such as Created On, Created By, Profile, and Type.
- Fill in all the required text fields and click the ‘Filter’ button at the bottom of the pop-up slide screen.
- A ‘Filtered Results 1’ session page is displayed showing the filtered results.
- Click the plus ‘(+) New Folder’ button.
- A ‘New Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
- By default, all the modules (Scenario Explorer, Query Explorer, and Job Explorer) are selected.
- Let’s suppose add ‘Completed Jobs’ text under the ‘Name’ field.
- Click the ‘Create’ button.
- A message ‘Completed Jobs is created’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Click the ‘Create New Job’ button.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Create Job’ session page.
