Data Quality Metrics Dashboard is a part of REPORTING module. This dashboard has a Data Quality Summary tab and Scenario Output tab. Within the Data Quality Summary tab, users can view the details of passed, failed, warning, and information details related to the Total Scenarios, FDRs, Validations, TDRs, and QPTs. Under the Scenario Output tab, users can view the details of different columns like Type (type of scenario), Status (details of passed, failed, warning, or information), Result History (the complete result history), Exceptions, Executed By (User executed details), Executed On (scenario Execution date and time), and Folder Path (scenario saved folder path).
To learn about Data Quality Metrics Dashboard, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘REPORTING’ module.
- By default, the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ dashboard is selected.
- By default, the ‘Data Quality Summary’ tab is displayed.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- A ‘Download as Excel’ button is used to download the ‘Data Quality Summary’ contents into an Excel sheet.
- The dashboard shows the details both in the Tabular View and Bar View pattern.
- The ‘Data Quality Metrics Dashboard’ shows the details of Total Scenarios, FDR’s, Validation’s TDR’s, and QPT’s.
- Let’s, click the ‘FDR’ option from the ‘Passed’ Tabular View category.
- The user is navigated to the Passed ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
Note: Similarly, the user can click the Validation, TDR, and QPT from the Passed category.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Click the ‘FDR’ option from the ‘Failed’ category.
- The user is navigated to the Failed ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
Note: Similarly, the user can click the Validation, TDR, and QPT from the Failed category.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Click the ‘FDR’ option from the ‘Warning’ category.
- The user is navigated to the Warning ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
Note: Similarly, the user can click the Validation, TDR, and QPT from the Warning category.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Click the ‘FDR’ option from the ‘Information’ category.
- The user is navigated to the Information ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
Note: Similarly, the user can click the Validation, TDR, and QPT from the Information category.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Now hover and click on the value ‘Passed FDR: 367’ from the ‘Bar View’.
- The user is navigated to the Passed ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Hover and click on the value ‘Failed FDR: 470’ from the ‘Bar View’.
- The user is navigated to the Failed ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Hover and click on the value ‘Warning FDR: 27’ from the ‘Bar View’.
- The user is navigated to the Warning ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
- Hover and click on the value ‘Information FDR: 35’ from the ‘Bar View’.
- The user is navigated to the Information ‘FDR Summary’ session page.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Data Quality Metrics’ Dashboard.
Note: Similarly, the users can also hover, select, and click on Validation, TDR, and QPT to know different statuses like Passed, Failed, Warning, or Information from the ‘Bar View.’
- Clicking the ‘Global Filter’ button displays the ‘Global Filters’ pop-up window showing different drop-down list options such as Root, Select Scenario, Select Job, Select User, Select Profile, and days selection (Last, Between, and Not Between).
- Fill in all the required details and click the ‘Preview Filter Data’ button.
- Only one FDR Scenario is filtered as a result of the entered details.
- Now, click the ‘Save Report As’ button.
- A ‘Save Report As’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s enter the ‘Report Name’ as ‘Vinay’s FDR Scenario.’
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A message ‘Report with name Vinay’s FDR Scenario saved successfully’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Click the ‘Reports’ button.
- A ‘Saved Reports’ pop-up window is displayed.
- The ‘Vinay’s FDR scenario’ report is saved and has the following three buttons: View Report (to view the report details), Edit Report (to edit the report if required), and Delete report (to delete the report).
- Click the ‘Send Email’ button to send this Report (Vinay’s FDR scenario) to any email address.
- A ‘Send an Email’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Enter any Email address.
Note: The email address is blurred due to confidential data.
- A message ‘Sending Email’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- The Report (Vinay’s FDR scenario) email in the inbox appears as shown below.
- Clicking the ‘Scenario Output’ tab displays a tabular grid with the following column names as Type, Scenario Name, Status, Result History, Exceptions, Executed By, Executed On, and Folder Path.
- Let’s click the first scenario ‘jdbcdr’ from the ‘Scenario Name’ column.
- The user is navigated to that particular FDR scenario (jdbcdr).
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Scenario Output’ tab.
- Click the yellow highlighted ‘x’ button (Warning) from the ‘Status’ column.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Scenario Exception Summary’ tab.
- Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Scenario Output’ tab.
- Click the ‘Result History’ button from the ‘Result History’ column.
- A ‘jdbcdr’ (FDR Scenario) pop-up window is displayed with the ‘Result History’ details.
- Click the number ‘2’ from the ‘Exceptions’ column.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Scenario Exception Summary’ tab.
