Under the users’ session, an admin pro-user can view the details of ‘All Users’ and the ‘current logged in user’ details. Apart from this an admin pro-user can also add a new user, lock or unlock different users.
To learn about Users, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ tab.
- Hover on the ‘Security’ snippet from the left pane options.
- Click the ‘Users’ option.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > Security > Users
- An ‘All Users’ tab is displayed.
- An ‘Export to CSV’ button is used to download the All Users details into a CSV file.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for a particular user.
- Below the ‘All Users’ tab, the details of used/total Pro Users and Display User License Keys are displayed.
- Let’s suppose select checkbox ‘David Philips’ from the User Name column.
- The button options such as Edit, Delete, Login History, and User Status are enabled.
Note: The user must select only one User Name at a time to enable these buttons.
Note: A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘All Users’ tab session page.
- Click the ‘Edit’ button.
- An ‘Edit User’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Click the ‘Save’ button after making modifications.
Note: The ‘Email’ text field is blurred due to confidential data.
- A message 'David Philips Modified successfully' is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Now let’s click the ‘Delete’ button.
- A ‘Delete User’ pop-up window is displayed.
Note: By default, Delete Type is switched to Soft Delete.
- Let’s suppose enable the toggle button to Permanent Delete. This button removes the user completely.
- Click the ‘Delete’ button.
- A message “Please select a user to transfer content history of deleting user” is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
Note: Without transferring the user content, it is not possible to delete the selected user.
- Let’s suppose select ‘Bhanu’ from the drop-down list.
Note: The ‘David Philips’ user’s data is transferred to the ‘Bhanu’ user.
- A message “David philips Deleted successfully” is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Clicking the ‘Logged in Users’ tab displays the current Logged in users.
- Click the plus ‘(+) User’ button.
- A ‘Create User’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s suppose fill in all the text fields such as User Name, First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, Confirm Password, User Type (Pro and Display drop-down list options), and two checkbox options namely Administrator and Active Directory Authentication as shown in the below screenshot.
Note: If the user selects the User Type as Display User, then the Administrator checkbox is disabled.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
Note: The user can also go through the info descriptions by hovering on them.
- A message “David Philips Created Successfully” is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- The admin pro-user can view the ‘David Philips’ user within All Users tabs.
- Click the ‘Locked Users.’
- The user is navigated to the ‘Locked Users’ session page.
- Close this window.
- Select a user, say 'RDUser' and click the 'User Status' icon.
- A 'User Status' pop-up window is displayed.
Note: The selected user 'RDUser' is active here.
- Clic the 'Inactive' option.
- A notification 'Are you sure, you want to make this user (RDUser) inactive?' is displayed.
- Click the 'Change Status' option.
- A toaster message 'Status Updated Successfully' is displayed.
Note: Here, the user 'RDUser' is inactive now. An Admin prouser has the authority to update the status back from inactive to active.
