Global Explorer is a part of the ADMIN CONSOLE tab. All the users created files and folders are shown and displayed within the Global Explorer session page. This session also has a tabular grid with details of different columns such as Name (all Folders/Files Names), Path (the path of the saved folders/files), Profile Name (user profile information), Created By (user-created details), Created On (created date and time), Modified By (Modified user details), and Last Modified details (Last modified date and time details).
To learn about Global Explorer, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ tab.
- Hover on the ‘Global Explorer’ from one of the left pane options.
- Click the ‘Global Explorer’ option.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > Global Explorer
- A ‘Global Explorer’ session page is displayed.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Global Explorer’ session page.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for any contents within the ‘Global Explorer’ session page.
- Click the ‘Tiles View’ button.
Note: By default, ‘List View’ and ‘Show All’ is selected.
- The contents are displayed in the ‘Tiles View’ pattern.
- Click the ‘Show All’ button to display all the available contents within the Global Explorer session page including Folders and Files.
- Click the ‘Folders Only’ button to display only Folders.
- Click the ‘Content Only’ button to display only individual files.
- Click the ‘History’ button to display ‘My Activity History’ slide page showing the users’ activity.
- A ‘Search’ text field is used to search for any user activity details.
- Click the ‘Bookmarks’ button to display ‘My Favorites’ slide page displaying the users’ bookmarked folders and files.
- A ‘Search’ box field is used to search for any bookmarked files or folders.
- Click the ‘Choose Table Fields’ button to display all the tabular grid columns.
Note: By default, all the columns are checked other than the ‘Name’ column.
- Let’s suppose uncheck the ‘Path’ option from the Choose Table slide page.
Note: Unchecking the Path option immediately removes the Path column from the Global Explorer tabular grid.
- Click the ‘Save’ button to save the Global Explorer tabular field without the Path column.
- A message ‘Columns Saved Successfully’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Click the ‘Load more’ button to load additional content into the Global Explorer tabular grid.
- Click the ‘Filter’ button to display the‘ Filters’ slide page that has different text fields such as Created On, Created By, Profile, and Type.
- Fill in all the required fields and click the Filter button to filter the results based on the text field options.
- A ‘Filtered Results 749’ session page is displayed showing the filtered results.
- Click the plus ‘(+) New Folder’ button.
- A New Folder pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s suppose fill in the required text fields such as Name and Modules.
Note: By default, all the Modules (Scenario Explorer, Query Explorer, and Job Explorer) are selected.
- Click the ‘Create button.
- A message ‘Validations is created’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- The ‘Validations’ folder is included under the ‘Global Explorer’ tabular grid.
Note: The ‘Validations’ folder is displayed in all three explorers (Query Studio, Scenario Studio, and Batch Console).
- For example, checkbox an FDR and click the "Switch Profile" icon.
- A "Review/Switch Connection Profiles" pop-up window is displayed.
- The "Available Profiles" for source and target can be changed from here.
- Click the "Save" button to update the changes.
