System Activity is a part of the COCKPIT module. It gives a summary of the system activity. The key points highlighted are:
- The number of users logged in
- Total jobs running
- Total validations running
- Total query chains running
- Total executions running
- Total FDRs running
- Total TDRs running
To learn about the System Activity tile, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘COCKPIT’ module.
- View the ‘System Activity’ tile.
- Besides the System Activity text, a switch button is available to change from ‘All users’ to ‘Single user’ mode is displayed.
Note: By default, all users’ mode is selected.
Note: By default, the ‘System Activity’ tile selects the Line Chart view.
- Let’s suppose, the user wishes to change from All users mode to Single user mode, then it can be done by switching the button.
- Let’s suppose, the user here hovered on the pointer ‘Total Executions: 231.’
Note: The Line Chart pointer is a non-clickable one; users can only view the status by hovering on it. Similarly, the users can also hover on the other pointers to know the statuses like The number of users logged in, Total jobs running, Total validations running, Total query chains running, Total FDR’s running, and Total TDR’s running.
Note: The dates are shown on the X-axis and Quantity is shown on the Y-axis.
- Click the ‘Show Legends’ button to display a sliding window with options such as Logged in Users, Total Executions, Total Jobs Executions, FDR Executions, Validation Executions, TDR Executions, and Query Executions.
- Let’s suppose strike the first 2 options (Logged in Users and Total Executions) by clicking on them.
Note: Striking has an immediate effect on the Line Chart graph. As the user strikes these 2 options, the Line Chart updates accordingly.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the System Activity session page.
- Clicking the ‘Tabular View’ button loads the Tabular View graph contents.
- Click the first option ‘Logged in Users’.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Logged in Users’ tab.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the 'System Activity' tile.
- Now, click the ‘Total Jobs Running 2’ option.
Note: Similarly, the user can also click on the other options (Total Validations Running, Total Query Chains Running, Total Executions Running, Total FDRs Running, or Total TDRs Running) too but it is to make sure that each option is loaded with any number other than zero (0). If an option in the Table View has zero (0), then the user cannot click it.

- The user is navigated to the ‘Job Explorer’ session page.
Path: COCKPIT > System Activity > Total Jobs Running > Job Explorer
- Click ‘Divya 1/6/2022 1:24:59 PM’ from the ‘Name’ column.
- The user is navigated to that particular Job (Divya 1/6/2022 1:24:59 PM) in create and edit mode.
Note: Close this window and navigate back to ‘Job Explorer’ session page.
- Click the icon from the ‘status’ column.
- The user is navigated to that particular Job (Divya 1/6/2022 1:24:59 PM) in create and edit mode.
Note: Close this window and ‘Job Explorer’ session page.
- Click the ‘Line Chart’ button to display the ‘Line Chart’ view.
Path: COCKPIT > System Activity > Line Chart
- Click the ‘Expand’ button.
- The user can view the ‘System Activity’ tile expanded view that displays both ‘Tabular View’ and ‘Line Chart’ graphs.
Note: By default, ‘1W’ (1 Week) data is shown. Users can also change it to ‘5D’ (5 Days) or ‘1M’ (1 Month).
Note: The ‘Tabular View’ and ‘Line chart’ work alike as displayed in the ‘System Activity tile’ in an unexpanded view.
- Let’s suppose, the user strikes ‘Logged in Users’ and ‘Total Executions’ options by clicking on them.
Note: The ‘Line Chart view’ is updated immediately according to the user’s action.
- Clicking the ‘Close’ button removes the ‘System Activity’ tile from the ‘COCKPIT’ module.
