Database Metrics is a part of the COCKPIT module. It shows the current status of the database. This is visible to the admin pro-user. It helps to manage data and use the database storage well. The key points highlighted are:
- The total allocated space
- The total used space
- The total unused space
- Percentage of used space
- Percentage of unused space
To learn about the Database Metrics tile, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘COCKPIT’ module.
- View the ‘Database Metrics’ tile.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the Database Metrics session page.
- Clicking the ‘Show Legend’ button pops up a screen displaying different bar graph parameters as shown here.
- Scenario Exception Data
- Query Chain Snapshot Data
- Validation Scenario Exception Data
- RD Internal Tables
- Scenario Original Ingested Data
- Others
- The user can remove by clicking some of the bar graph representations to reflect in the bar graph chart.
- Let’s suppose strike the first 2 bar graph representations (Recon. Scenario Exception Data and Query Chain Snapshot Data) by clicking on them.
Note: Immediately as the user strikes or clicks the bar representation, the bar graph is updated according to the striking.
- Click the ‘Tabular View’ button.
- The user can view all the details such as Allocated Space(GB), Used Space(GB), Unused Space)GB), Used Space(%), and Unused Space(%).
Path: COCKPIT > Database Metrics > Tabular View
- Click the ‘Pie Chart’ button to display the Database Metrics Pie Chart view.
- Let’s suppose, click on the green portion (DB Free: 1.66 GB).
- The user is navigated to the Database Metrics ‘Bar View.’
- Let’s click the first bar parameter (Allocated Space) from the below ‘Database Metrics’ Bar View.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Data Management’ session page.

- Click the ‘Expand’ button.
Path: COCKPIT > Database Metrics > Expand
- The user can see the ‘Database Metrics’ tile expanded view.
- The expanded view shows the Pie Chart view, Tabular View, and Bar View (By Count and By Space).
- The user can strike different parameters by clicking them and it is only valid in Pie and Bar Chart view. The striking effect acts independently of each other.
- Click the ‘Close’ button to remove the Database Metrics tile from the COCKPIT window.
