The Validations tile is a part of the COCKPIT module. It gives an overview of the validation scenarios. The key points highlighted are:
- The number of validation scenarios that passed
- The number of scenarios that failed
- The number of error scenarios
To learn about the ‘Validations’ tile, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘COCKPIT’ module.
- View the ‘Validations’ tile.
- Besides the ‘Validations’ text, a switch button is available to change from All Users to Single User mode is displayed.
Note: By default, All Users mode is selected.
Note: By default, the ‘Validations’ tile selects the ‘Line Chart’ view.
- Let’s suppose, the user clicks from All Users mode to Single User mode and the Line Chart is updated accordingly.
- By default, the one Week (1W) Validations data is displayed.
Note: The user can also change the timing to 5D (5 Days) or 1M (1 Month).
- Clicking the ‘Show Legend’ button displays a slide pop-up slide screen with two options such as ‘Pass’ and ‘Fail.’
- Let’s suppose, strike the first option (Pass) on the Show Legend pop-up slide window by clicking on it.
Note: The Line Chart gets updated accordingly as per the user action.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the Validations session page.
- Click the ‘Tabular View’ button to display the Tabular View graph pattern.
- Let’s suppose, click the ‘Executions’ option.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Validation Summary’ session page.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Validation Summary’ page.
- An ‘Export to CSV’ button downloads the ‘Validation Summary’ result details.
- A ‘Search’ box searches for any particular Validations from the ‘Validation Summary’ page.
- Let’s suppose, click the ‘Big Query_3’ scenario name from the ‘Scenario Name’ column.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Bulk validation’ page of that particular scenario.
Note: Close this window and revert back to ‘Validations Summary’ session page.
- Click the ‘blue arrow’ mark from the Status column.
- The user is navigated to the particular scenario (Big Query_3) Details tab.
Note: Close this window and also ‘Validation Summary’ session page. Revert back to Validations tile.
- Click the ‘Pie Chart’ view to display the Pie Chart graph of the Validations tile.
- Let’s suppose, click the green-colored portion ‘Pass: 229.’
- The user is navigated to the ‘Validation summary’ session page.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Validation Summary’ page.
- An ‘Export to CSV’ button downloads the ‘Validation Summary’ result details.
- A ‘Search’ box searches for any particular Validations from the ‘Validation Summary’ page.
- Let’s suppose, click the ‘bdv rule checking’ scenario name from the Scenario Name column.
- The user is navigated to the Bulk Validation session page of that particular scenario.
Note: Close this window and revert back to ‘Validation Summary’ session page.
- Click the ‘blue arrow’ mark from the Status column.
- The user is navigated to the particular scenario ‘Details’ tab.
Note: Close this window and also the ‘FDR Summary’ session page. Navigate back to the ‘Validations’ tile.
- Click the ‘Line Chart’ view to display the Validations Line Chart view.
Note: The dates are shown on the X-axis and Quantity on the Y-axis.
- Let’s click on the pointer with the Date ‘1/17/2022 Pass: 6 Fail: 21.’
- The user is navigated to the ‘Validation Summary’ session page.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the Validation Summary page.
- An ‘Export to CSV’ button downloads the Validation Summary result details.
- A ‘Search’ box searches for any particular Validations from the Validation Summary page.
- Let’s suppose, click the ‘Valid1’ scenario name from the ‘Scenario Name’ column.
- The user is navigated to that particular Scenario (Valid1) in create and edit mode.
Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Validation Summary’ session page.
- Click the ‘blue arrow’ mark from the Status column.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Validations Scenario Exceptions’ session page of that particular scenario (Valid1).
Note: Close this window and also the ‘Validation Summary’ session page. Navigate back to Validations tile.
- Click the ‘Expand’ button.
- The user can view the ‘Validations’ tile expanded view that displays Pie, Tabular View, and Line Chart graphs.
Note: By default, 1W (1 Week) data is shown. The user can change it to 5D (5 Days) or 1M (1 Month).
Note: The Pie, Tabular View, and Line chart works alike as displayed in the Validations tile in an unexpanded view.
- Let’s suppose the user strikes ‘Pass’ and ‘Fail’ options within ‘Pie Chart’ by clicking on them.
Note: The Pie Chart view is updated immediately according to the user’s action.
- Similarly, click the ‘Pass’ option from the ‘Line Chart’ graph.
Note: The Line Chart view is updated immediately according to the user’s action.
- Click the ‘Close’ button to remove the ‘Validations’ tile from the ‘COCKPIT’ module.
