Reporting — Scenario Execution History Dashboard
Review the complete chronological execution history of all scenarios with filtering, Excel export, saved reports, and email sharing.
Overview
The Scenario Execution History Dashboard provides a complete chronological record of all scenario executions in Data Trust, enabling teams to track execution trends, review historical results, and identify patterns of recurring failures or improvements over time.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- At least one scenario has a recorded execution history.
Accessing the Dashboard
Path: Data Trust › Reporting › Scenario Execution History DashboardFrom the Reporting module navigation, select 'Scenario Execution History Dashboard' to open the full execution history view for all scenarios across the platform. This dashboard is designed for users who need to audit past scenario runs, generate execution reports, or investigate when a specific data quality issue first occurred.
The execution history dashboard loads all past scenario runs in reverse chronological order, showing scenario name, result status, execution date, and execution duration per row. The most recent executions appear at the top so you can immediately see the current state of all your scenarios without scrolling through historical data.
Dashboard Toolbar
The Refresh icon reloads the execution history with the latest data from the server, ensuring you are viewing the most up-to-date results. The Excel export icon downloads the full execution history as a spreadsheet file, which is useful for offline analysis, compliance reporting, or sharing with stakeholders who prefer tabular data.
Navigating to Scenario Details
Each scenario name in the execution history grid is an active hyperlink that navigates directly to the detailed result page for that specific execution. Clicking the name takes you straight to the execution output — matched records, exceptions, and status details — without having to search for the scenario elsewhere in the platform.
Filtering the Execution History
Click the Global Filter icon (funnel icon) in the dashboard toolbar to open the filter panel and choose criteria to narrow the execution history to a specific subset. Filtering is especially important on this dashboard because it may contain thousands of historical executions — applying filters keeps the view manageable and relevant.
The Global Filter tab lets you select Job, Profile, Scenario, Status, or Date Range to precisely limit which execution records are displayed in the history grid. Combining multiple filter criteria — for example, Status = Failed AND Job = Finance — gives you a highly targeted view that surfaces only the most relevant execution records.
After configuring your filter criteria, click Preview to display the matching execution records in a preview pane before committing the filter to the full dashboard. Previewing the filter results helps you verify that your criteria are correct and that the expected scenarios appear in the filtered result set.
Saving a Report
The Save Report As button in the toolbar saves the current execution history view — including all active filters and the selected date range — as a named report for future reuse. Saving an execution history report is particularly useful for recurring audit workflows where you need to run the same filtered view regularly.
Loading Saved Reports
Click the Reports button in the toolbar to open the Saved Reports panel, which lists all execution history reports you have previously saved for quick reload. Saved reports preserve your filter and date range settings so you can restore any past view with a single click rather than reconfiguring the filters manually.
The Saved Reports pop-up window lists all your saved execution history configurations, each with a name and a Load button for instant retrieval. Click any report name to reload that configuration, instantly restoring the previously saved filters and date range on the execution history dashboard.
Sharing by Email
Click the Send Email button in the toolbar to share the current execution history view with one or more recipients via email. This feature is useful for distributing periodic execution summaries to team leads or compliance officers who need a record of scenario activity.
The Send Email dialog lets you specify recipient addresses, a subject line, and an optional message before the execution history report is delivered. The email contains the execution history data in a readable format so recipients can review the information without needing to access Data Trust directly.
A success toaster confirms the execution history email has been sent to all specified recipients. If you entered multiple addresses, all recipients receive the email simultaneously in a single send operation.
