Validation Output
Overview
The Validation Output section of the Scenario Output Browser shows the results of Validation scenario executions. Users can review validation statuses, inspect execution summaries, and navigate to detailed results to understand which validation rules passed or failed.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- At least one Validation scenario has been executed successfully.
Steps
Path: Data Trust › Scenario Output Browser › Validation Output
Navigate to the Scenario Output Browser module and select Validation Output from the sidebar. This opens the validation summary listing all validation scenario executions available for review.
The Validation Summary page lists all executed validation scenarios with their names, statuses, and timestamps. Use Refresh to load the latest run results, Export to CSV to download the list, and Search to locate a specific scenario quickly.
Click on a validation row in the summary grid to open its detailed execution output. The detail view shows the result of each individual validation rule defined in the scenario.
The Validation Edit page displays the full configuration of the validation scenario including the data source, validation rules, and thresholds. Reviewing this page provides the context needed to interpret why a particular rule passed or failed.
The Validation Status section shows the overall outcome — Passed, Failed, Warning, or Error — for the selected execution. Each status is color-coded: green for Passed, red for Failed, amber for Warning, and grey for incomplete or errored runs.
The Validation Execution Summary provides a breakdown of all rules evaluated during the run, along with pass/fail counts per rule category. Use this summary to identify which areas of data quality are consistently failing and prioritise corrective actions accordingly.
