Cockpit — Security Tile
View user and user group counts and navigate to Security management from the Cockpit dashboard.
Overview
The Security tile on the Cockpit dashboard provides a quick-access summary of user and user group counts in Data Trust. It allows administrators to see at a glance how many users and user groups are configured, and to navigate directly to the Security management pages in the Admin Console.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.

The Security tile displays the total count of registered Users and User Groups on the platform. It provides an at-a-glance check of account numbers and acts as a one-click shortcut to the User Management and User Groups administration pages.
Accessing the Security Tile
Path: Data Trust › Cockpit- Log in to Data Trust.
The Cockpit dashboard loads. The Security tile displays the total count of Users and User Groups currently configured in the platform.
Refreshing the Tile

The Refresh icon reloads the user and user group counts from the server. Use it after a bulk user import or after adding a new user group to confirm the counts have updated without reloading the whole Cockpit page.
- Click the Refresh icon (↻) in the Security tile header to reload the latest user and user group counts from the server.
Security Tile Contents

The Users row shows the total number of registered accounts on the platform. Clicking it opens the User Management page in the Admin Console, where you can create, edit, deactivate, or delete accounts without navigating away from your Cockpit workflow.

The User Groups row shows how many permission groups are configured. Clicking it opens the User Groups page in the Admin Console, where you can manage group memberships and assign role-based permissions to collections of users.
The Security tile contains two rows:

- Click the Users row to navigate to the User Management
page in the Admin Console.
The Admin Console opens on the Security › Users page, where you can create, edit, deactivate, and delete user accounts.
- Click the User Groups row to navigate to the User Groups
page.
The Admin Console opens on the Security › User Groups page, where you can configure group-based permissions and assign users to groups.
Closing the Security Tile

The Close (X) button in the Security tile header removes the tile from the Cockpit view. If you remove it accidentally or no longer need it, you can restore it at any time through Cockpit Settings › Add or Remove Widgets.
- Click the Close (X) icon in the Security tile header to remove the tile
from the active Cockpit view.
The tile collapses. You can re-add it through Cockpit Settings if needed.
