Cockpit — Overview

The Data Trust home dashboard: at-a-glance data health, system activity, and asset tracking.

Overview

The Cockpit is the Data Trust home dashboard — the first screen displayed after login. It provides an at-a-glance, configurable view of your organization's data reconciliation health, validation status, system activity, database storage utilization, asset inventory, and user security — all from a single pane of glass.

Each tile is an independent widget that can be added, removed, rearranged, or toggled between All Users (platform-wide aggregates) and Single User (current-user-scoped data) views.

When you first log in to Data Trust, this is the screen you see. Each colored tile represents a different area of platform health — reconciliations, validations, system activity, database storage, asset inventory, and security — all visible at once without navigating anywhere.

Prerequisites

You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
The Cockpit module is enabled for your account.

Cockpit Tiles

The Cockpit displays the following tiles by default:

Tile	Description	Chart Types	Drill-Down Target
Reconciliations	Summarizes FDR scenario execution results — total executions, passed, failed, and error counts over a selected time range.	Line Chart, Pie Chart, Tabular	FDR Summary page
Validations	Summarizes Validation scenario execution results — executions, passed, failed, and error counts.	Line Chart, Pie Chart, Tabular	Validation Summary page
System Activity	Shows real-time platform activity — logged-in users, running jobs, active validations, query chains, FDRs, and TDRs.	Line Chart, Tabular	Admin Console Users, Job Explorer
Datastore DB Utilization	Displays database storage metrics — allocated space, used space, and a per-category breakdown. Visible to Admin Pro-Users only.	Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Tabular	Admin Console › Data Management
Asset Inventory	Counts all assets owned by the current user (or all users): FDRs, TDRs, Validations, BDVs, QPTs, Queries, Query Chains, and Jobs.	Line Chart, Pie Chart, Tabular	Per-asset detail pages
Security	Shows total user and user-group counts. Supports creating, editing, and deleting users directly from the tile.	Tabular	Users list, User Groups

All Users vs. Single User View

Every tile header includes a user-toggle icon. Click it to switch between views:

Mode	What It Shows	Who Can Use
All Users (default)	Aggregated platform-wide data across all users.	Pro-User, Admin Pro-User
Single User	Data scoped to the currently logged-in user only.	Pro-User, Admin Pro-User

Note: The All Users / Single User toggle is per-tile. Switching one tile does not affect other tiles.

Tile Controls

Each tile provides a consistent set of action icons in the top-right corner:

Icon	Action
Refresh (↻)	Reloads the tile data from the server.
Tabular (☰)	Switches the tile to a tabular (list) view showing numeric counts.
Time / Clock	Selects the time range — 5D (5 days), 1W (1 week), or 1M (1 month).
Legend (◼)	Shows or hides the chart legend. Click a legend item to toggle its visibility on the chart.
Expand (❐)	Expands the tile to a full-width view for easier analysis.
Settings (⚙)	Opens tile-level configuration or the global Cockpit Settings panel.

Accessing the Cockpit

Path: Data Trust › Cockpit (left-hand navigation)

Log in to Data Trust.
The Cockpit dashboard loads as the default home screen.
If you have navigated away, click the Cockpit icon (home/dashboard icon) in the left-hand navigation sidebar to return.

Role-Based Tile Visibility

Role	Tiles Visible	Drill-Down Access
Admin Pro-User Admin	All tiles, including Datastore DB Utilization	Full drill-down to all pages
Pro-User Pro	All tiles except Datastore DB Utilization	Full drill-down to all pages
Display User / Non-Admin Pro-User	Can view metric counts on System Activity and Security tiles	Cannot drill into Logged-In Users or Security user details

Note: Display Users and non-admin Pro-Users see counts on System Activity and Security tiles but cannot navigate to the underlying user management pages. See Cockpit — Restricted Access for Display and Non-Admin Pro-Users for full details.
