CMS — Bulk Content Copy
Copy Queries, Query Chains, Scenarios, and Jobs to a different folder in one operation using Bulk Copy.
Overview
Bulk Content Copy allows administrators to copy multiple assets — Queries, Query Chains, Scenarios, and Jobs — to a different folder within the same Data Trust instance in a single operation. Unlike Export/Import (which moves content between environments), Bulk Copy works within one environment and supports copying all four content types together in one step.
Switching to Bulk Copy Mode
Figure 1: Enabling Bulk Copy mode
On the CMS page (any tab), locate the Bulk Copy / Export/Import toggle in the top-right. Click Bulk Copy to activate this mode. The filter fields remain the same — use them to load the Queries you want to copy. The query list shows Query Name, Connection Name, Query Text, Created On, User Name, and User Assigned Date.
Selecting Queries to Copy
Figure 2: Selecting queries for bulk copy
In Bulk Copy mode, the page splits into a two-panel shuttle view. The left panel shows all available Queries; the right panel shows the ones selected for copying. Check the boxes next to the queries you need, then click › or ›› to move them to the right panel. The right panel also shows the Connection Name and Query Text for reference. Once queries are selected, the Cascade and Migrate Queries buttons activate at the top-right.
Switching Connection Profiles — Query Chains
Figure 3: Connection profile mapping for Query Chains
When your selected content includes Query Chains, the Review/Switch Connection Profiles popup appears before migration. Each Query Chain is listed with its Available Connections dropdown(s). If the connection profile from the source folder differs from what you need in the destination, use the dropdowns to select the correct connection profile. Click Continue when all mappings are confirmed.
Switching Connection Profiles — Scenarios
Figure 4: Connection profile mapping for Scenarios
Similarly, when Scenarios (FDRs) are included in the bulk copy, the popup shows each Scenario and its connection dropdowns. Scenarios often have multiple data sources (source and target), each with their own connection. Review and map each one to the correct profile in the destination folder.
Switching Connection Profiles — Jobs
Figure 5: Connection profile mapping for Jobs
If Jobs are part of the bulk copy, the same connection review popup appears for them. Confirm or switch the connection profiles for each Job before continuing.
Choosing the Destination Folder
Figure 6: Choose Folder — selecting destination
After confirming all connection profiles, the Choose Folder popup opens. Browse the folder hierarchy and select the destination workspace folder where all copied content should be placed. Click Select to confirm. Then click Migrate Queries (or the appropriate Migrate button for the selected content type) to complete the bulk copy. All selected assets are copied to the destination folder in one operation.
