Features:
1. Create new FDR(s) based on TDR configuration.
- The user can now create individual FDR(s) from a TDR result for detailed comparison.
Enhancements:
1. A filter provision is added to SSRS profile in Query.
- A filter button is added to the SSRS profile in Query. Now users can load any SSRS reporting profile and apply filters accordingly and can extract the required data.
2. Ability to highlight the scenarios and Jobs executed through APIs outside the application.
- Now users can differentiate the scenarios or jobs executed through APIs outside the application. This enhancement works with all the scenario types and Jobs.
3. Ability to check API details of POST type from the System Preferences.
- Previously, the users were able to check the GET type of Rest APIs but now the users can also view the API details of POST type from the API Tokens session page.
4. Ability to duplicate a BDV scenario.
- Now users can duplicate any existing BDV scenario by clicking the Duplicate button.
5. User Password change security measures.
- As a security measure, the user is entitled to use a unique password that was not the same as the last 3 used passwords.
6. A provision to re-run only the Errored dataset pairs in a TDR scenario.
- Now the user can re-run only the Errored dataset pairs without initiating the whole TDR run again.
7. A provision to re-run only the Errored DB tables/queries in a BDV scenario.
- The user can now re-run only the Errored DB tables/queries in a BDV scenario without initiating the whole BDV execution process.
- Previously the Bookmark icons were present in the individual explorers (Query, Scenario, and Job) but now they are moved to the Navigation bar for easy bookmark access.
9. Enhancement to filters/prompts in all reporting profiles such as BOBJ, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Now the user has the flexibility to edit, preview and add variables as input in filters/prompts in all reporting profiles such as BOBJ, Power BI, and Tableau.
10. Displaying most recent status of connection profiles.
- The user can now check the most recent connection status of a Profile in Query Builder, Auto Generate Queries, and BDV.
11. Ability to check ‘where used List’ details of a Custom Email Template.
- The user has the flexibility to check the ‘where used List’ details of any Custom Email Template used in any FDR, Validation, TDR, or Query Chain.
- Previously, the identity of a user-created item(s) deleted by another user is unknown. Based on this context, two columns were included in the Recycle Bin as shown below:
- Created By: This column contains the name of the user who creates the object.
- Deleted By: This column contains the name of the user who deletes the object.
- If the users delete an item and again create the same named item in the same folder, then if they try to restore the deleted item from the Recycle Bin, the item gets prefixed with ‘restored’.
13. Ability to create Snowflake connection (JDBC) using Private Key.
- A Private Key checkbox option that contains ‘Private Key Path’ and ‘Passphrase’ parameters is included under the Snow Flake JDBC connection type.
- The users can now change the application’s SQL server password using a URL from the Login screen or from ‘Troubleshoot’ option, part of the ‘System Preferences’.
15. ‘RD extracts’ connection profile will be automatically created during installations (new).
- The profile ‘RD extracts’ can be used by the users to access the tool’s middleware database. The ‘RD extracts’ profile is configured by the concerned RightData (DataTrust) team at the time of the user’s application installation process.
- The ‘Select All’ checkbox option for FDR, Validation, BDV, or Query Chain Widget used in a job is enabled only if the selected count (scenarios/Query Chains) is less than 100 and the same checkbox option is disabled/removed if the selected count exceeds 100.
- A ‘Variable’ annotation is added in an Email Template Body which is included in the ‘Email’ widgets of all Query Chains, FDRs, TDRs, Validations, and Jobs. When executed, the user gets the variable-related value in the mail body.
- A new column ‘Error Message’ is added to the ‘Job Result Summary Report’ grid. The ‘Error Message’ is displayed only when a particular Query Chain or Scenario in a Job is Errored.
19. A result summary link for ‘Pass’ and ‘Error’ status is added to the job email report.
- Prior to 2022.06 build, the user received a result summary link in the Job email report for ‘Failed’ status only but now the user can also view the same for the ‘Pass’ and ‘Error’ status as well. This enhancement currently works with FDR, Validation, and TDR scenarios used in a job.
20. Ability to add date range in Reporting metrics dashboards.
- The user can choose the specific date range to measure all the Reporting metrics of different dashboards such as Data Quality Metrics, Data Quality Dimensions, Row Counts Compare, Reconciliation, Scenario Execution History, and Asset Inventory. By default, 30 days of data reporting metrics are displayed for each Reporting dashboard.
21. ‘Oath Authentication’ is implemented for REST API calls in scenarios, Query Chains, and Jobs.
- An ‘Oath Authentication’ is added under ‘Additional Settings’ tab within the ‘Generate RD Service’ option to provide an additional security layer for all the generated API calls. This enhancement can be used with all scenario types, Query Chains, and Jobs.
22. Ability to show ‘Power BI paginated reports’ in CSV and Excel formats.
- In the Power BI paginated reports, the user can save the executed data results either in CSV or Excel format. Some paginated reports support CSV and a few others support Excel.
23. A ‘Filters’ section containing Site, Project, and Workbook options added to Tableau metadata in QC.
- ‘Object Selection Criteria’ section is removed in the Query Chain ‘Metadata’ widget of Tableau profile. Now the user can only view the ‘Type Selection’ (Filters) section containing the Site drop-down list. Apart from it, the user can also view the Project and Workbook text field options.
24. Ability to enable/disable IMDB from ‘Third Party Integration’ option, part of System Preferences.
- IMDB enable/disable option is added in the ‘Third Party Integration’ option within System Preferences. If IMDB is disabled, the user cannot move any scenario from one category to another category. The categories specified here include Backlog, In progress, and Testing.
- If IMDB is disabled, the user cannot use or drag the ‘IMDB’ widget from the ‘Additional Options’ tab in scenarios such as FDRs, TDRs, or Validations.
25. User Group design changes.
- The user can now add any User/Users or Profile/Profiles from the Users and Profiles sections individually without editing and updating the complete User Group.
26. ‘Preview COUNT’ option is added in RDBMS widget to know the exact records count.
- 'Preview COUNT’ in RDBMS widget assists the user to extract the records count from its database. This enhancement is included in QC, FDR, TDR, and Validation.
27. Ability to check the BOBJ Profile Report Visualization in Query Builder.
- The user can now check the BOBJ Profile Report Visualization using Query Builder. The Report Visualization is categorized into Blocks and based on each block selection; the user can analyze the report.
- Prior to 2022.06 build, the user was able to upload an image to an Email Template Editor from a Source URL but now the user can directly upload an image from the local drive.
29. A flexibility to add context to the widgets used in TDR, FDR, and Validation scenarios.
- The user can now add the required contexts as per the flexibility to different widgets used in scenarios. The context related to the widget is saved only after saving that particular widget configuration.
30. A provision to check the ‘Folder Path’ of Scenarios/Query Chains used in Job widgets.
- A ‘Folder Path’ column is now added to the Job widgets (FDR, TDR, Validation, BDV, QPT, and Query Chain) that shows the related path of Scenarios/Query Chains used in a Job.
- Customization is done in the ‘Profile’ and ‘Created By’ ‘Filter’ fields selection in Job widgets. Now the users can clearly view the selected profile(s) and created by user(s) details.
32. A provision to re-run only the Errored source or target data widgets in an FDR scenario.
- Prior to 2022.06 build, the user had to initiate the entire FDR scenario execution process even if one of the source or target data widgets was Errored but now, the user can re-run only the Errored source or target data widget. This re-run option works only with ‘Errored’ FDR scenarios.
