Job Designer Source Widget Grid Selection Improvements
Overview
This article documents improvements to the Job Designer source widgets grid selection behavior. Users can now reliably select and deselect scenarios in the FDR, BDV, and Validation widgets, use the Show Selected toggle accurately, and apply Created By filters without losing prior selections.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- Multiple scenarios and multiple users exist in the system.
Steps
Path: Batch Console › Job Designer › FDR / BDV / Validation Widget Popup
Open the Job Explorer and confirm the scheduler is enabled. Navigate to Job Designer to open or create a job for testing grid selection behavior.
On the Create Job page, name your job and prepare to add an FDR widget. The FDR widget popup is where the improved grid selection behavior is visible.
Add the Execute Now widget to set the job's execution trigger. Then drag an FDR widget onto the canvas.
Drop the FDR widget onto the canvas and open its popup to see the grid selection improvements. The popup now handles checkbox state correctly across pages and filter changes.
The FDR widget popup lists all available scenarios with checkboxes for selection. Previously, checkboxes could lose their state when navigating pages or applying filters; this has been fixed.
Check several scenarios from the list. The selection state is now preserved accurately even when other actions are performed in the popup.
Click the Show Selected toggle to filter the view to only the checked scenarios. The toggle now displays the exact set of selected items without including unintended entries.
Click Show All to return to the full list. The Filter button opens the criteria panel. Switching between Show All and Show Selected no longer resets or corrupts the selection.
Apply a Created By filter to narrow the list to scenarios owned by a specific user. Previously applying this filter could clear existing selections; the fix ensures selections are retained.
After applying the Created By filter, the grid shows only the scenarios matching that user. Any scenarios you had already selected remain checked even after the filter is applied.
With the filter active, select additional FDR scenarios from the filtered view. These new selections combine with your earlier selections rather than replacing them.
Click Show Selected again to confirm that all previously selected items plus the newly added ones appear together. This verifies that the grid correctly accumulates selections across filter changes.
