Push-down reconciliation in FDR using MSSQL
When the source and target of a scenario is using the same connection profile, then users now can perform push-down reconciliations. This option can improve the performance of the reconciliation process by 5X – 100X. Let’s perform pushdown reconciliation using MSSQL profile.
To learn more, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the SCENARIO STUDIO module.
- Hover on the Scenario Builder snippet from the left pane options.
- Click the Functional Data Recon option.
- The user is navigated to a new FDR session page in create and edit mode.
- From the Data Source tab, let’s drag and drop RDBMS Tables icons for both source and target onto the TDR session page.
- Double tap the source RDBMS Tables widget.
- A Read data from table pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s select MSSQL from the Database Type drop-down list.
- Select MSSQL_NORTHWIND from the Connection Name drop-down list.
- Click the Navigator icon.
- Let’s select the desired table from the schema.
- Click the Select button to save the RDBMS Tables source widget.
- Now, double tap on the Read data from table target widget.
- A Read data from table pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s select MSSQL from the Database Type drop-down list.
- Select MSSQL_NORTHWIND from the Connection Name drop-down list.
- Click the Navigator icon.
- Let’s select the desired table from the schema.
- Click the Select button to save the RDBMS Tables target widget.
- Click the Reconciliation tab.
- Drag and drop Map source & target fields icon and double tap it.
- A Map source & target fields pop-up window is displayed.
- Click on the Save button.
- A Confirm action pop-up window is displayed.
- Click the Verified button to save the target RDBMS Tables widget.
- Now, click the Do comparison on source icon.
- The selected icon turns green which indicates the pushdown reconciliation is successful.
- Click on the Execute Now icon.
- Here the FDR scenario is passed.
- Click on the Map source & target fields count 0.
- A Scenario Exception Summary tab is displayed showing the execution results.
