Condition check filter enhancement in BDV

Prior to 2022.09 build, the user was able to use only the selected field (column) in the condition check but now, all the columns in the dataset will be available for selection.

To learn more, let us walk through the below procedure:

Click the ‘SCENARIO STUDIO’ module.
Hover on the ‘Scenario Builder’ snippet from the left pane options.
Click the ‘Bulk Data Validation’ (BDV) option.

This action navigates the user to the BDV session page.

Select ‘MSSQL_NORTHWIND’ from the ‘Bulk Validation’ drop-down selection.

Note: By default, ‘Object Selection’ radio button is selected.

Select ‘RDMetaData’ from the ‘Database’ drop-down list.
Click the ‘Get Metadata’ button.

This action populates the Metadata displaying ‘189 Objects Added to Metadata’ toaster message.

Note: By default, all the Metadata objects are selected and checked in.

Now, randomly select and checkbox a couple of objects and click the ‘Proceed’ button.

This action navigates the user to a new window displaying the selected objects in a grid.
Click the ‘Condition Check’ filter vertical ellipsis for the second object (dbo.DCSteps) from the ‘Object Name’ column.

This action pops up ‘Condition Check for column Id should abide by’ window.
Drag the ‘Available Fields’.

The user can view and select the required field from the ‘Available Fields’ drop-down selection.
Select ‘Description’ from the ‘Available Fields’ drop-down selection.

Select ‘Equals to’ from the ‘Available Operations’ drop-down list and add input as ‘1025’.

Note: The ‘Expression’ field is updated accordingly.

Click the ‘Apply’ button.

This action adds the ‘Filter’ condition and the user is navigated to the ‘Bulk Validation’ page.
The ‘Condition Check’ (Description = 1025) is updated accordingly.
