Querying SAP BW Infoprovider

Using Query, users can execute single or multiple SQL Queries by selecting the desired data source profile. Let’s execute a Query using SAP BW Infoprovider.

To learn about Query, let us walk through the below procedure:

Click the QUERY STUDIO module.
Hover on Query Builder snippet and click on Query.

Let’s select SAP BW-Livewire from the Profile drop-down lists.

Let’s select InfoProviders from the Query Type (Table) drop-down lists.
Click the Navigator button.

By default, Characteristics tab is selected and displayed.

Note: The characteristics specify the granularity (the degree of detail) at which the key figures are stored in the InfoProvider.

Let’s pick a table.

Let’s select a couple of objects from the InfoObject.
Click the Execute Now icon.

This action executes the Query and the Results tab is displayed.
Click on the Save icon.

An Additional saving options pop-up window is displayed.
Let’s add the desired name in the Query Name text field.
Click the Save button.

A toaster message SAP BW InfoProvider Query saved successfully! is displayed.
