Explore Data Profiling is a part of the QUERY STUDIO module. This session gives a depth analysis of Data Profiling widget details used in different Query Chains. It has a tabular grid with details such as Profiling Name, Database View Name, QueryChain Name, Status, Actions, Duration, Executed By, Executed On, and Path.

To learn about Explore Data Profiling, let us walk through the below procedure:

Click the ‘QUERY STUDIO’ module.
Hover on the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ snippet which is present on the left - hand side.
Click the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ option.

Path: QUERY STUDIO > Explore Data Profiling

An ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page is displayed.
A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page.
A ‘Search’ box is used to search for any content from the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session tabular grid.

Click the drop-down list option beside ‘New Query Chain’ button.

Two drop-down lists namely ‘New Query’ and ‘Auto Generate Queries’ is displayed.
Click the ‘New Query’ button.

The user is navigated to a ‘New Query’ session page.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page.

Now, click the ‘Auto Generate Queries’ button option.

The user is navigated to an ‘Auto Generate Queries’ session page.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page.

Click the ‘New Query Chain’ button option.

The user is navigated to a ‘New Query Chain’ session page.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page.

Click the ‘Filter’ button.

A ‘Filters’ pop-up sliding screen is displayed with following text field options such as Executed On, Created By, Profile, and Folder.

Let’s fill in the following text fields and click the ‘Filter’ button.

The filtered results based on the text fields (Executed On, Created By, Profile, and Folder) are displayed.

Click the ‘Choose Table Fields’ button.

A pop-up slide screen with all the tabular grid column names is displayed.

Let’s suppose uncheck the ‘DB View Name.’

Note: The column ‘DB View Name’ is immediately removed from the tabular grid.

Click the ‘Save’ button.

A message ‘Columns Saved Successfully!’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.

Let’s suppose click the first Query Chain (Vinay 1/25/2022 6:29:40) from the ‘QueryChain Name’ column.

The user is navigated to that particular Query Chain (Vinay 1/25/2022 6:29:40) in create and edit mode.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Explore Data Profiling’ session page.

Click the ‘View’ button from the ‘Actions’ column.

The user is navigated to the Data Profiling session of that particular Query Chain (Vinay 1/25/2022 6:29:40).

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Explore Data Profile’ session page.

Click the ‘History’ button.

A new tab is loaded immediately after the ‘Home’ tab displaying the data profiling details of that particular Query Chain.

Clicking the ‘Load More’ button loads additional contents into the tabular grid.
