Query Explorer is a part of the QUERY STUDIO module. The Query Explorer has a tabular grid with columns details such as Name (Contains the details of all Queries, Query Chains, and Auto-Generated Queries), Path (the destination saved path), Profile Name (The profile information details), Created By (User created details), Created On (Created Date and time details), Modified By (User modified details), and Last-Modified (Last modified Date and time details).
To learn about ‘Query Explorer’, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘QUERY STUDIO’ tab.
- A ‘Query Explorer’ session page is displayed.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the Query Explorer session page.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search the Query Explorer contents (Folders or Files).
Note: By default ‘Show All’ and ‘List view’ is selected.

- A ‘Tiles View’ pattern is displayed by clicking the ‘Tiles View’ button.
- A ‘Folders Only’ View is displayed by clicking the ‘Folders Only’ View button.
- A Content only view is displayed by clicking the ‘Content only’ view button.
- ‘My Activity History’ pop-up screen is displayed by clicking the ‘History’ button.
Note: Click again the History button to close the pop-up screen.
- A ‘Search’ button is used to search for any activity history details.
- Click the ‘Bookmarks’ button to display the ‘My Favorites’ pop-up screen.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘My Favorites’ session page.
- A ‘Search box’ is used to search for any bookmarked Folder, File, or Path details.
Note: Click again the ‘Bookmarks’ button to close the pop-up screen.
- ‘Showing 91/312’ is displayed immediately below the Filter button. 91 contents were already loaded and displayed out of 312 contents.
- Click the ‘Load More’ button.
- Now ‘Showing 91/312’ has changed to ‘Showing 300/312’ and the ‘Load More’ button turns blue indicating the contents are loaded successfully.
- Click the ‘New Query’ button drop-down list option.
- ‘New Query’ and ‘Auto Generate Queries’ are displayed.
- Click the ‘New Query’ option.
- A ‘New Query’ session page is displayed.

Note: Close this window and navigate back to the ‘Query Explorer’ session page.
- Click the ‘Auto Generate Queries’ option.
- An ‘Auto-Generate Queries’ session page is displayed.

- Click the ‘New Query Chain’ button.
- A ‘New Query Chain’ page is displayed.

- Click the ‘Filter’ button.
- A ‘Filters’ pop-up screen is displayed with text field options such as Created On, Created By, Profile, and Type.
- Fill in all the required details and click the ‘Filter’ button.
- A ‘Filtered Results 65’ session page is displayed.
- Click the plus ‘(+) New Folder button.
- A ‘New Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s suppose fill the Name field (Query Names).
- Click the ‘Create’ button.
- A message ‘Query Names is created’ is displayed.
Note: The ‘Query Names’ are added in the Query Explorer, Query Explorer, and Job Explorer.
- Checkbox the ‘Query Names’
Note: Three buttons namely Rename, Copy, and Move are enabled on selecting any Folder or Filename.
- Let’s click the ‘Rename’ button.
- A ‘Rename Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s suppose rename the ‘Query Names’ to ‘Query Chain Names’.
- Click the ‘Rename’ button.
- A message ‘Folder renamed to Query Chain Names’ is displayed.
- Now, click the ‘Copy’ button.
- A ‘Paste’ text is displayed by clicking on the ‘Copy’ button.
- Now, click the ‘Paste’ option using the same ‘Copy’ button.
- A message ‘Folder Copied Successfully’ is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Click the ‘Move’ button.
- A ‘Choose Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
- A-plus ‘(+)’ button is used to add a New Folder in the main Root Folder.
- A ‘Refresh’ button is used to refresh the ‘Choose Folder’ session page.
- A ‘Search folder’ button is used to search for any folder.
- Let’s suppose select the ‘Bhanu’ Folder and click the Move button.
- A ‘Folder Moved Successfully’ message is displayed on the top right corner of the page.
- Search with the name ‘Bhanu’ from the ‘Search’ text field.
- Click the ‘Bhanu’ folder name.
- ‘Query Chain Names’ is displayed within the ‘Bhanu’ folder.
