Creating queries on Tableau Workbook
Users can now create different Queries using Tableau Workbook. Let’s create a Query using this reporting profile.
To learn more, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘QUERY STUDIO’ module.
- Hover on the ‘Query Builder’ snippet from the left pane options.
- Click the ‘Query.’
Path: QUERY STUDIO > Query Builder > Query
- This action navigates the user to the ‘Query’ session page.
- Select ‘Tableau Latest Profile’ from the ‘Profile’ drop-down list.
- Click the ‘Navigator’ button.
- A ‘Navigator’ slide screen is displayed.
- Click the ‘College’ report from the ‘Tableau Samples.’
- Click the Navigator’s ‘X’ button.
- The user can view the filters for Academic Year, College, Gender, and College.
- Select and checkbox ‘2014’ as a filter for ‘Academic Year.’
- Click the ‘With Filters’ option from the ‘Show Data’ drop-down.
- This action executes the data and the user is navigated to the ‘Results’ tab.
- Click the ‘Preview Filters’ tab.
- This action displays all the filters used for the Tableau data execution.
- Click the ‘Save Query’ button.
- An ‘Additional savings option’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Add ‘College 2014 Tableau’ in the ‘Query Name’ text field.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A toaster message ‘College 2014 Tableau saved successfully!’ is displayed.
- Now, click the ‘QUERY STUDIO’ module.
- This action navigates the user to the ‘Query Explorer’ session page.
- Search ‘College 2014 Tableau’ from the ‘Search’ text field.
- The user can view the Query (College 2014 Tableau).
