Prevent duplication of assets (Query, QC, FDR etc.) during content migration process (CMS)

1. Exporting content from one system or environment
2. Importing content to another system or environment

Exporting content from one system or environment:

• Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ module.
• Hover and click on the ‘Content Management’ snippet from the left pane options.

• This action navigates the user to the ‘Migration’ session page.
• By default, ‘Queries’ option is selected with ‘Export’ option.
• Now, filter the ‘Queries’ using ‘Created On’.

Note: The user can use any or all filter criteria to export the required Queries.

• Click the ‘Get Queries’ button.

• This action populates the required Query/Queries based on the requirement.
• Checkbox the first Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) and click the ‘Generate Export File’ button.

• This action Exports and downloads the required Query in txt format.
• Now, click the ‘Query Chain’ option.

• Filter the ‘Queries’ using ‘Created On’ date filter.
• Click the ‘Get QueryChains’ button.

• This action populates the list of Query Chains based on the search criteria.
• Now, checkbox a Query Chain (PostgreSQL Employees QC) and click the ‘Generate Export File’ button.

• This action Exports and downloads the required Query Chain in txt format.
• Now, click the ‘Scenarios’ option.

• Filter the scenarios based on ‘Created On’ search criteria.
• Click the ‘Get Scenarios’ button.

• This action populates the list of scenarios based on the search criteria.
• Checkbox the first scenario (FDR Using Query and QC) and click the ‘Generate Export File’ button.

Note: The scenario (FDR Using Query and QC) uses the same Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) and Query Chain (PostgreSQL Employees QC) which were exported and downloaded in the previous steps.

• This action Exports and downloads the required scenario in txt format.

Importing content to another system or environment:

• Login to another system/environment to import the downloaded content.
• Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ module.
• Hover and click on the ‘Content Management’ snippet from the left pane options.

• This option navigates the user to the ‘Migration’ session page.
• By default, the ‘Queries’ option is selected with ‘Export’.
• Now, checkbox the ‘Import’ radio button.

• This action displays different options such as Select Queries export file, Folder Path, Migrate, and Cascade options.
• Click the ‘Choose File’ button.

• A browse folders pop-up window is displayed.
• Now, select ‘Queries Exporet File_10_10_2022 11_32_24 AM.txt’ file.
• Click the ‘Open’ button.

• This action uploads the selected Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query).
• Click the ‘Import All’ button to import the Query.

Note: The user can also select any selected number of Queries and click the ‘Import Selected’ button located above the ‘Import All’ button.

• This action imports the ‘Query’.
• Click the ‘Browse Folders’ button.

• A ‘Choose Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
• Select ‘CMS duplicate content check’ folder.
• Click the ‘Select’ button.

• This action selects the required folder.
• Click the ‘Migrate’ button.

• A toaster message ‘Migration has been completed’ is displayed.

• Later, the user is navigated to the ‘Query Explorer’ session page.
• Click the ‘CMS’ duplicate content check’ folder.

• The Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) is successfully imported.
• Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ module again.

• Hover and click on the ‘Content Management’ snippet from the left pane options.

• This option navigates the user to the ‘Migration’ session page.
• By default, the ‘Queries’ option is selected with ‘Export’.
• Click the ‘Scenarios’ option.

• Checkbox the ‘Import’ radio button.

• This action displays different options such as Select Scenarios export file, Folder Path, Migrate, and Cascade options.
• Click the ‘Choose File’ button.

• A browse folders pop-up window is displayed.
• Now, select ‘Scenarios Export File 10_10_2022 11_37_10 AM.txt’ file.
• Click the ‘Open’ button.

• This action imports the selected Scenario (FDR Using Query and QC).
• Click the ‘Import All’ button to import the Scenario.

Note: The user can also select any selected number of Scenarios and click the ‘Import Selected’ button located above the ‘Import All’ button.

• A ‘Review/Switch Connection Profiles’ pop-up window is displayed.
• Click the ‘Continue’ button.

• This action imports the selected Scenario (FDR Using Query and QC).
• Click the ‘Browse Folders’ button.

• A ‘Choose Folder’ pop-up window is displayed.
• Select ‘CMS duplicate content check’ folder.
• Click the ‘Select’ button.

• This action selects the required folder.
• Click the ‘Migrate’ button.

• A toaster message ‘Migration has been completed’ is displayed.
• Simultaneously a ‘Log’ file displaying the progress is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

• Later, the user is navigated to the ‘Scenario Explorer’ session page.
• Click the ‘CMS’ duplicate content check’ folder.

• The Scenario (FDR Using Query and QC) is successfully imported.
• Checkbox the scenario (FDR Using Query and QC) and click the ‘Edit’ button.

• This action navigates the user to the particular scenario (FDR Using Query and QC) in create and edit mode.

Note: The user can view the Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) and Query Chain (PostgreSQL Employees QC) used in this particular scenario.

• Now, navigate back to the ‘Query Explorer’ session page.
• Click the ‘CMS duplicate content check’ folder.

• The contents of the Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) and Query Chain (PostgreSQL Employees QC) are not duplicated here.

Note: The user can view both the Query (PostgreSQL Employees Query) and Query Chain (PostgreSQL Employees QC) without duplication while importing the scenario that uses both this Query and Query Chain.
