Now, the user can establish any RDBMS JDBC profile connection using AWS Credential Manager parameters such as URL and Secret ARN.
To learn more, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ module.
- This action navigates the user to the ‘Profiles’ session page.
- Click the ‘+ Profile’ icon.
- The user is navigated to the ‘Create Profile’ session page.
- Add ‘RDBMS profile using AWS Credential Manager’ as the ‘Profile Name’ text.
- Select ‘MySql’ from the ‘Source Name’ drop-down list.
- By default, the ‘Type Of Connection’ is selected as ‘Non JDBC.’
- Now, select ‘JDBC’ from the ‘Type Of Connection’ drop-down list.
- ‘Use AWS Credential Manager’ is added as a new enhancement.
- Checkbox ‘Use AWS Credential Manager’ checkbox.
Note: Checking the ‘Use AWS Credential Manager’ checkbox enables ‘URL’ and ‘Secret ARN’ parameters.
- Add these parameters (URL and Secret ARN).
- Click the ‘Test Connection’ button to establish the connection and later ‘Save’ button to save the new connection profile.
