Note:
- Before saving versions in Git hub, ensure that the branches for BDV, QueryChain, FDR, TDR, and Validation are created.
The integration process links GitHub with DataTrust, allowing users to manage and version their data scenarios directly within both the platforms (locally and on Github).
Steps for GitHub Integration

Navigate to System Preferences:

Click the ADMIN CONSOLE module.

Select Menu and click System Preferences.

It will take to the System preferences page, under this we have different tiles

GitHub Configuration:

On the System Preferences page, click the Version Controls tile.

In the Version Controls section:

Click the Add button to add a new Instance

Add New Instance:
-
A pop-up window will appear:
-
Enter the Name.
-
Provide the GitHub URL (Git connection URL).

Enter User name
-
Enter the Token (authentication token)

Provide Repository name
-

Click Test connection
-
It shows a "Successfully Authenticated with GitHub" message once the test connection with Github is successful.

Click on Save
-
Created Instance will be shown under the Version controls tab -

Go to Query chain/FDR/TDR/Validation/BDV

Creating and Saving versions of FDR

Navigate to Scenario Studio and select FDR

Create an FDR
-
Making Changes Version Saving

Click on Version save button
-
Enter Commit message
-
Click on save
-
Click on Version history
-
Then we can see the saved version in the Version history

Make any changes in the FDR scenario

Click on version save
-
Enter commit message
-
Click on save
-
Click on Version history

We can see the newly saved version of the scenario as V2

Comparing Versions
Note - Version Compare feature is not applicable for Bulk Data Validation (BDV) scenarios.

Click on any two versions

Click on Version Compare button

We can able to view Two different versions of scenarios with version numbers & time and date stamp which are committed

Version Restoring
-
Select any version that user wants to restore

Click on Restore button
-
Confirm Restore pop up will appear

Click on Restore

We can able to view the restored version of scenario
