Under the Frontend Logs session, an admin pro-user can check the Frontend Logs information such as the User Logs details, Log Files related to the user, and File Content related to a particular log.
To learn about Frontend Logs tile, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ tab.
- Hover on the left-hand side of the application to view available options.
- Click the System Preferences option.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > System Preferences
- Now the user can view the ‘Preferences’ page.
- Under the ‘Preferences’ page, a couple of tiles are displayed.
- Click the Frontend Logs tile.
- A ‘Frontend Logs’ session page is displayed.
- A ‘Search’ box under User Logs text is used to search for any Frontend Log details of any users.
- The ‘User Name’ column displays the details of all the available users.
- A ‘Refresh’ button at the top right side is used to refresh the ‘Frontend Logs’ session page.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > System Preferences > Frontend Logs
- Let’s suppose checkbox the user ‘Anil’.
Note: The Log Files related to the checked user are displayed immediately on selecting any user.
- A ‘Search’ box text field is used to search for any log files related to that particular selected user.
- A tabular grid with columns such as File Name, Last Modified Date, File Size, and Action are displayed.
- A ‘Download’ button is used to download any log files.
- Let’s suppose checkbox the first Log File from the ‘File Name’ column.
Note: The File Content related to that particular selected Log File (23Jan2022.log) is displayed immediately as the user selects it. The user can only select one Log File to display its File Content at a time.
- A ‘Search’ box text field on the right hand side is used to search for any text from the File Content.
- A ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button is used to copy the File Content text.
- Let’s click the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button.
- A message ‘Copied to Clipboard’ is displayed.
Note: The ‘Copied to Clipboard’ text can be pasted to any note pad or txt file.
- Click the ‘Data Retention Settings’ button.
- A ‘Data Retention’ pop-up window is displayed.
Note: By default, the second radio button option (Retain data only for the last 2 days) is displayed.
- ‘Retain All’ or ‘Retain data since’ radio button options can also be selected if desired.
Note: ‘Retain All’ option retains all the data from the beginning and in a similar way, ‘Retain data since’ option retains data from the selected date to the present date.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A message ‘Data Retention Saved Successfully’ is displayed.
- Click the ‘Menu’ button to navigate back to the ‘System Preferences’ session page.
