An admin pro-user can create a Custom Email Template by adding the custom header and custom body/layout. The email templates are classified into three categories namely:
- Default template: The “RightData” template is available as a default option in the email widgets of all Query chain’s, TDR’s and FDR’s.
- Custom template with default layout: Based on the user requirement, he/she can only remove/replace the custom template (RightData header section here) with their desired content with the same default layout.
- Custom template with custom layout: Based on the user requirement, he/she can modify both the default template and the default layout by selecting the “custom template” option available in the email template editor.
To learn about Custom Email Template, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the ‘ADMIN CONSOLE’ tab.
- Hover on the left-hand side of the application to view available options.
- Click the ‘System Preferences’ option.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > System Preferences
- Now the user can view the ‘Preferences’ page.
- Under the Preferences page, a couple of tiles are displayed.
- Click the ‘Custom Email Template’ option.
- The user is navigated to ‘Custom Email Template’ page as shown here.
- Click the plus ‘(+) New Template’ button to create a new email template.
Path: ADMIN CONSOLE > System Preferences > Custom Email Template
- An ‘Email Template Editor’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s add the ‘Validation Template’ under the ‘Name’ text field.
- Let’s suppose change the logo from ‘RightData’ to ‘Dextrus.’
- Click the ‘RightData’ logo.
- Click the ‘Insert/edit image’ button.
- An Insert/Edit Image pop-up window is displayed.
- The user is required to change the ‘Source’ filed.
- Let’s enter the new logo (Dextrus here) source URL.
Note: The Width and Height are automatically updated according to the image from the Source link.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- The Logo’ is updated accordingly.
- Let’s add the content related to the ‘Validation Template.’
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
- A message ‘Template Saved Successfully’ is displayed.
- The created ‘Validation Template’ is added under the ‘Template Name’ column.
- Two actions namely ‘Edit’ and ‘Delete’ can be performed on the created Template Names.
- Let’s suppose, click the ‘Edit’ button for the ‘Validation Testing’ template.
- An Email Template Editor pop-up window is displayed.
At the bottom of the pop-up window, two options can be viewed as shown here.
- Save As New: The user can change the Name (template name) under Template Details and save this template as a new one.
- Update Template: Clicking this option the user can modify the template and update the changes.
- Let’s suppose change the ‘Validation Template’ to Validation Template Pro’ in the Name text field.
- Click the ‘Update Template’ button.
- A message ‘Template Updated Successfully’ is displayed.
- Click the ‘Delete’ button.
- A ‘Delete template’ pop-up window is displayed.
- Click the ‘Continue’ button.
- A message ‘Custom Email Template is Deleted Successfully!!’ is displayed.
- A ‘Search’ box is used to search for a particular Email Template.
- Click the ‘Menu’ button to navigate back to the ‘System Preferences’ session page.
