Reporting — Add Packetization in All Reporting Dashboards
Scope any Reporting dashboard to a specific asset packet to show only the metrics relevant to your team or business unit.
Overview
Packetization allows all Reporting dashboards to be filtered by Asset Packet — a logical grouping of assets defined by an administrator. When a packet is selected, the dashboard shows only the data quality metrics for assets within that packet, ensuring users see only the results relevant to their team or business unit.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- Asset packets have been configured by an administrator in the Admin Console.
Applying a Packet Filter
Path: Data Trust › Reporting › Any Dashboard › Global Filter › PacketThe packetization filter is available in the Global Filters panel on the Data Quality Metrics Dashboard — select a packet to scope the view to assets in that group. The Packet filter dropdown lists all asset packets configured in your platform, and selecting one instantly limits the dashboard to metrics from that packet's assets only.
After selecting a packet, the dashboard displays only the assets belonging to that packet, hiding all assets from other packets to reduce noise. This scoped view ensures that users in different teams or business units only see the data quality results relevant to their assigned assets.
The dashboard filtered to the 'rdadmin' packet shows exclusively the scenarios and metrics belonging to that specific administrative asset group. Using named packets like 'rdadmin' makes it easy for administrators to review the data quality health of platform-managed assets separately from user-created content.
Selecting 'All Assets' from the Packet dropdown removes the packet filter entirely, returning the dashboard to the full platform-wide view showing all asset results. Switching back to All Assets is useful when you need to review cross-packet comparisons or investigate a data quality issue that spans multiple asset groups.
- Open any Reporting dashboard and click the Filter icon.
- In the Global Filters panel, select the desired asset packet from the Packet dropdown.
- Click Apply.
The dashboard refreshes to show only scenarios and metrics from the selected packet.
- To view all assets, select All Assets from the Packet dropdown and click Apply.
