FDR Session Monitor
Overview
The FDR Session Monitor provides real-time and historical visibility into the execution of Full Data Reconciliation (FDR) scenarios. From this page you can track running scenarios, review completed results, inspect execution logs, navigate directly to the Scenario Output Browser, and filter sessions by date, status, or user.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- At least one FDR scenario has been executed or is currently running.
Steps
Path: Data Trust › Scenario Session Monitor › FDR Session Monitor
Navigate to the Scenario Session Monitor module and select FDR Session Monitor from the left sidebar. This opens the session list showing all recent FDR scenario executions with their current statuses.
The FDR Session Monitor toolbar provides Refresh to reload the session list, Export to CSV to download session data, and a Search field to locate specific scenarios by name. Use these controls regularly to keep the view current and to extract session data for reporting.
When there are more sessions than the default page size, a Load More button appears at the bottom of the list. Click it to append additional sessions to the current view without resetting the page.
Click a scenario name in the session list to open its execution detail panel. The detail panel shows execution timing, status, record counts, and links to logs and output results.
Clicking the Edit icon next to a session opens the Scenario Edit page where you can review and modify the scenario configuration. This is useful when you need to understand why a scenario produced unexpected results and want to adjust its rules or settings.
The Log button in the session detail opens a log popup for that specific execution run. Logs contain step-by-step processing messages that help diagnose failures or unexpected behaviour.
The Log popup displays the full execution log with timestamps for each processing step. Look for ERROR or WARNING entries to identify exactly where and why a scenario deviated from the expected path.
The Execution Progress indicator shows a visual progress bar and percentage for scenarios that are currently running. Once complete, the indicator transitions to a Completed state and the final status — Passed, Failed, or Error — is displayed.
The Output Browser link in the session detail navigates directly to the Scenario Output Browser for that execution. Use this shortcut to view detailed reconciliation results including source counts, target counts, and exceptions without navigating away manually.
The Scenario Output Browser opens pre-filtered to the selected FDR execution, displaying the full result summary. From here you can drill into individual exception records, compare source and target values, and export results.
The Running tab filters the session list to show only scenarios that are currently executing. Monitor this tab during batch job runs or manual executions to track live progress across multiple scenarios.
The Passed tab displays sessions where all reconciliation checks completed successfully within the defined tolerance. Review this tab to confirm that expected scenarios are passing consistently over time.
The Failed tab lists sessions where one or more reconciliation checks did not meet the pass threshold. Use this tab as your primary triage queue — click into each failed session to understand the root cause.
The Errored tab shows sessions that could not complete due to a system or configuration error rather than a data mismatch. Common causes include connectivity failures, missing data, or invalid scenario configurations — check the session log for details.
The Filter button opens a panel where you can narrow the session list by date range, status, user, or scenario name. Applying filters is essential when working with large volumes of session data to focus on the subset relevant to your investigation.
The filter panel exposes criteria fields such as From Date, To Date, Status, and Created By. Combine multiple criteria to precisely target the sessions you need — for example, all Failed sessions created by a specific user in the past week.
After applying filters, the session list refreshes to show only the sessions matching your criteria. The active filter indicators remain visible so you always know the current view is narrowed, and you can clear filters to return to the full list.
