Step Description Update after Switching the Profile

Step descriptions update automatically when a connection profile is switched.

Overview

When a connection profile is switched in a scenario widget, Data Trust now automatically updates the step description to reflect the new profile name. This ensures that scenario documentation remains accurate when connections are changed.

Note: Ensure all required connection profiles are configured in the Administration module before building this scenario.

Prerequisites

You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
A scenario with at least one configured data source widget exists.

Steps

Path: Data Trust › Scenario Studio › Scenario Builder › Step Description Update after Switching the Profile

This step involves interacting with the FDR Edit Page within the Step Description Update after Switching the Profile workflow. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete this step before proceeding to the next configuration stage.

Select the FDR and click on Swich Connections Button

Select the appropriate connection from the dropdown to link this widget to its data source. Choosing the correct connection profile ensures the scenario reads from or writes to the intended database or file system.

The Swich connection popup with existing Connections dialog exposes all available configuration options for this step. Review each field carefully and fill in the required values before clicking Save or OK to apply the configuration.
