Data Profiling
Overview
Data Profiling in Query Studio analyses the result set of an executed query and provides statistical summaries including row counts, null rates, min/max values, and value distributions. Use data profiling to quickly assess data quality before using the query in reconciliation or validation scenarios.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- A query has been created and executed at least once.
Steps
Path: Data Trust › Query Studio › Data Profiling
The Summary Statistics view presents statistical analysis of the query result set including row counts, null rates, min, max, and distribution summaries. Use data profiling to quickly assess data quality and identify columns that require further validation.
Click Execute Now to run the query immediately and fetch the result set. The results appear in the Results tab, and the execution status is displayed in the progress indicator.
