Querying an Amazon S3 Bucket

Access and query files stored in an Amazon S3 bucket from Data Trust.

Overview

This guide walks through the Querying an Amazon S3 Bucket workflow in Data Trust Query Studio. Follow the numbered steps below to configure, execute, and review the results.

Note: Ensure all required connection profiles are configured in the Administration module before building queries or Query Chains in this workflow.

Prerequisites

• You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
• The relevant connection profiles have been configured in the Administration module.

Steps

The Amazon S3 connection is configured by selecting the S3 profile and specifying the bucket, prefix, and file format. Ensure the S3 profile has the correct IAM credentials and region settings before running the query.

The Navigator panel displays the available databases, schemas, and tables for the selected connection. Expand the tree to locate the required table, then click Select to add it to the query.

Click Execute Now to run the query immediately and fetch the result set. The results appear in the Results tab, and the execution status is displayed in the progress indicator.
