Under the create new query screen, using the profile dropdown, select an existing connection profile Excel, this will be presented with two options 1) Connect to existing 2) Connect to new - as follows.
Choose the local file option select a local file, and provide a profile name (this excel profile is unique for each file, you can create multiple queries using the same profiles). The RightData inferred metadata structure will be displayed (the data types can be overwritten as needed) along with previous data. If the excel workbook contains more than one tab, repeat the same steps. Selecting multiple tabs will make all the tabs available in the query builder, excel workbook is treated as a database and the data in each sheet is analogous to a table in the database. The data from each sheet can be joined using SQL query of RightQuery.
Click on the Save button to navigate to query builder, you can either use custom SQL query or RightQuery option to create a query on the excel data. You may choose to save the query for reusability.
