Content Packages with Data Trust
Manage and import scenario content packages from System Preferences.
Overview
The Content Packages feature in Data Trust allows administrators to manage pre-built scenario and validation templates distributed as installable packages. Packages can be enabled or disabled on demand, and new packages can be imported directly from the Admin Console. Once a package is enabled, its scenarios become available for auto-generating FDR (Full Data Reconciliation) scenarios in Scenario Studio, accelerating time-to-value for reconciliation projects.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in to Data Trust with a Pro-User or Admin Pro-User role.
- Admin Console access has been granted by your system administrator.
Navigating to Content Packages

The Admin Console System Preferences page is the central hub for all platform-wide configuration settings in Data Trust. Each tile on this page represents a distinct configuration area — click any tile to open that section's settings. Only users with an Admin Pro-User role can access and modify these settings; changes take effect immediately unless noted otherwise.

The Content Packages tile is located within the System Preferences section alongside other platform configuration options. Click this tile to open the Content Packages management screen where you can view, enable, disable, and import packages. Packages shown here reflect all templates currently installed on this Data Trust instance.

The Content Packages section lists all available packages along with their current enabled or disabled status and version details. Use the toggle on each package row to activate or deactivate that package for the entire platform. Disabling a package prevents new scenarios from being generated from its templates but does not remove previously created scenarios.
Enabling and Disabling Content Packages
- In the Content Packages list, locate the package you want to enable or disable.
- Click the status toggle to change the package state.

A confirmation dialog appears before changing a package's status, preventing accidental changes to live environments. Review the package name and the intended action displayed in the dialog before proceeding. Clicking Cancel returns you to the list without making any change.

Click Confirm in the dialog to complete the status change; the toggle reflects the new state immediately after confirmation. The change applies platform-wide, so all users will be affected as soon as the toggle updates. Verify the package status in the list to confirm the change was applied correctly.
Auto-Generating FDR Scenarios from Content Packages
When a Content Package is enabled, its scenario templates become available in Scenario Studio for auto-generation of FDR scenarios.
- Navigate to Scenario Studio from the main navigation menu.
- Click the Auto Generate FDR button.
- Click New Import to import additional scenarios.
- Click the Content Packages button to select packages for the FDR scenario.

The Auto Generate FDR button in Scenario Studio triggers the wizard that sources scenario templates from enabled Content Packages. This button is only available when at least one Content Package is active on the instance. Clicking it opens the Auto Generate FDR wizard where you can select which package templates to use.

The wizard displays all FDR scenario templates available from the currently enabled Content Packages. Each row shows the template name, associated package, and a description of the reconciliation it covers. Select one or more templates and proceed through the wizard to configure the source connections for each scenario.

The New Import button allows administrators to bring in additional scenario definitions from a package file not yet listed. Use this when your vendor provides a new or updated package file outside of the standard update cycle. After clicking New Import, you will be prompted to upload the package file from your local drive or a shared network location.

The Create Auto FDR Scenario dialog collects the scenario name, description, and module assignment for the new scenario. Complete all required fields before proceeding — the scenario name must be unique within the selected module. Clicking Next advances to the source connection configuration step where you map the package template to your data sources.

Clicking the Content Packages button opens a pop-up that lets you select which installed and enabled package should source the new FDR scenario. Only packages with an Enabled status appear as selectable options. Select the most relevant package for your reconciliation use case before proceeding to the next configuration step.

The Content Packages pop-up lists all currently enabled packages that can be associated with the new FDR scenario. Each package entry shows its name and version to help you identify the correct one. Choose a package and click Confirm to close the pop-up and proceed with the scenario configuration.

Use the dropdown to select one or more packages; the scenario will be generated based on the templates contained in those packages. Multiple packages can be combined if your reconciliation spans template logic from more than one package. Review the selected packages in the summary before advancing to the source profile selection step.

This view confirms the current enabled or disabled status for each package across the entire platform. Use this overview to quickly identify which packages are active and available for scenario generation. Any package shown as Disabled will not contribute templates to the Auto Generate FDR wizard until it is re-enabled.

Specify the source profile and schema that the auto-generated FDR scenario should connect to when running reconciliations. The source profile must already exist in the Data Trust Connection Manager before it can be selected here. Choosing the correct schema ensures the generated scenario maps to the right tables in your source database.
