Job scheduler, FDR, and Validation result notifications can now be accessed from your Teams application.
We have a three-step process to be followed here as shown below:
- Create a webhook URL for Teams integration.
- Add the created webhook URL as an MS Teams instance from Third-party integration.
- Use the created Teams instance in any scenario.
1. Create a webhook URL for Teams integration:
- Log in to your MS Teams application.
- Click the Teams icon.
- Click on Join or create a team option.
- Click on Create team option to manually create a team.
Note: A teams channel can also be created using a code.
- A Create a team pop-up window is displayed.
- Click the option From scratch.
- This action displays two options namely Private or Public.
- Select the Public option.
- Add the Team name and Description as per the requirement.
- Click on Create.
- The channel RD QA Team is created successfully.
- Click on the horizontal ellipses and select Connectors.
- A pop-up window Connectors for “General” channel in “RDt QA Team” team is displayed.
Note: By default, MANAGE option is selected.
- Click on Configure option from the Incoming Webhook.
- This action navigates to the below page.
- Add the incoming webhook name.
Note: An image can also be uploaded from Upload Image option as per your requirement.
- Click on Create option.
- This action creates a webhook URL as shown below.
- Click the Copy to clipboard icon and followed by Done.
2. Add the created webhook URL as an MS Teams instance from Third-party integration:
- Click the ADMIN CONSOLE module.
- Hover and click on the System Preferences snippet option.
- A Preferences session page is displayed.
- Click the Third Party Integration option to open it.
- By default, Jira option is selected.
- Click on MS Teams option.
- Click on Add button.
- An Add MS Teams Instance pop-up window is displayed.
- Add the Instance Name and URL. (From step 1)
Note: User Groups can also be selected as per the requirement.
- Click the Test Connection option.
- Successfully Authenticated with MS Teams notification is displayed once the connection is successful.
- Click the Save option.
- Successfully created MS Teams board instance toaster message is displayed once instance is created.
- The created MS Teams instance is displayed in the below screenshot.
3. Use the created Teams instance in any scenario:
- Click the SCENARIO STUDIO module.
- Select any FDR and click the Edit icon.
- An edit FDR session page is displayed.
- From the Additional Options tab, drag and drop MS Teams widget onto the design canvas and double-tap it to open.
- An MS Teams pop-up window is displayed.
- Select the created MS Teams instance (New Teams webhook instance) here.
- Click the Save option.
- Click on the Execute Now icon.
- This action executes the FDR scenario.
- Now, open your MS Teams application to view the recent FDR execution results as a notification.
