Using Query, users can execute single or multiple SQL Queries by selecting the desired data source profile. Let’s execute a Query using SAP BW BEx report.
To learn about Query, let us walk through the below procedure:
- Click the QUERY STUDIO module.
- Hover on Query Builder snippet and click on Query.
- Let’s select SAP BW-Livewire from the Profile drop-down list and Bex Advanced Queries from the Query type (Table) drop-down list.
- Click the Navigator button.
- Let’s pick a desired table.
- Let’s add the required Operators, From Values(s), and To Value(S) for a selected number of InfoObjects.
- Click the Key Figures.
- Let’s add the Key Figures for the selected InfoObjects. Here, we took Total Debit Postings and Total Credit Postings.
- Click the Characteristics.
- Click on Multiple Selection.
- A Select Fields pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s select the desired columns from the Column Name column.
- Click on Select button to save the Characteristics.
- Click the Execute Now button.
- This action executes the Query and the Results tab is displayed.
- Click on the Save icon.
- An Additional saving options pop-up window is displayed.
- Let’s add the desired name in the Query Name text field.
- Click the Save button.
- A toaster message SAP BEx Advanced Query saved successfully! is displayed.
